Our Founder, Matthew Allen, started Allen Builders and Landscape in 1997 with one truck, and a surplus of ambition and determination. His experience started at home and he apprenticed for local construction and landscaping companies in the summers during his teenage years. After high school, he branched out on his own and founded his own company.
In 2003, he married the love of his life and became a father to her two young daughters. His wife, Charmaine, would later take on the role of his business partner. His daughters also became actively involved in the family business after military service, college, and starting families of their own.
Even our headquarters has a close connection to our hearts and roots. Where you will find our displays, once stood a well-known fruit stand called “Brad’s” which was originally brought to life by Matthew’s Uncle Brad. Brad had MS and found great joy in fishing and all things outdoors.
As Brad got further along in his battle with MS his parents took over the fruit stand for him. The Fruit Stand was established 1968 and continued for about 30 years. The sign "Brad's Fruit Stand" still hangs in remembrance of the foundation of the business that came before us.
For decades, he was and remains the face, soul and energy of Allen Builders and Landscape. While maintaining his influence and fulfilling his example, today our staff has grown, equipment has multiplied and delivery of our services flourished.
Our organization is actively involved in the local community and national efforts for the progress and preservation of our country. Allen Builders and Landscape, expanded into outdoor living retail to include delivery and installation. We now sell various American made products designed and constructed by the Amish.
